A few weeks ago, we had no idea what to do to entertain the children, so we had the idea of taking them to the pool in Königstein.
The pool is just over 20 minutes by bus from where we live and is very simple to get to – great option, as we don’t have a car. Admission to the pool was around €9 for each adult. Compared to the other pools I’ve taken the girls to, this was the most expensive, but it’s worth every penny. They did not pay, as they are under 4 years old, entry is free.
The place offers a huge pool, not very deep and great for their first swimming lessons – exactly what we wanted, to teach our little fish how to swim. There was a hot water pool outside, on the day we went, it was quite cold, even so, the water and steam didn’t let the cold get close.
There is also a smaller pool, like water pumps that create a whirlpool effect, it was really cool to swim there, but you have to be careful, as the current is strong.
I recommend the place for a visit, even in winter it’s great to exercise in the water – I admit that if I could I would do it more often.
