I grew up on a big city, the countryside was more to go on vacation once or twice a year to visit my mom’s side of the family, after growing up, I didn’t came back, so I didn’t had much contact with thr calmness and slow way of living.

After moving to Germany, I started to live in a small city, but still functional and with everything I could think of in a daily basis, but at the moment I stepped at Frankfurt, was like the feeling of missing my hometown had simply disappeared.

It’s a big city for sure, full of people from different places of world just to start, you can spot the tourists easily, there’s also the Asian markets that conquered my heart in seconds after I visited once, the weekly market, this and that, a lot to see, about the German history and culture.

But why does this reminds me of my own home town, if I grow up in South America? How can I compare this two worlds? That’s the thing, I can’t compare, but there’s a feeling, there’s something there, the chaos maybe, that makes me feel alive and alert all the time. If you grew up in big city, you know what I’m talking about.

That’s my connection with Frankfurt, so far, is my favorite city to visit once in a while.

See you next time.
